BMX training app

BMX training plans built around your race calendar

Enter the races you're targeting. Racepeak plans your season in phases (Base, Build, Peak and Taper) and schedules every session around the days you can train, the days you can get to a track, and the equipment you have.

A race that's over in under a minute needs its own kind of training

BMX is won at the gate and in the first straight: explosive power, a flat-out sprint, and doing it again every moto. Endurance cycling plans and generic gym programs aren't built for that, and personal coaching is expensive. Racepeak builds a BMX-specific plan from your own calendar and setup.

Periodized, not random

Strength first, then power and speed, then sharpness for race day. Each phase builds on the one before it.

Specific to BMX

Gate starts, sprint repeats, track skills, race simulations, and the gym work that makes them faster.

Fitted to your life

School, work, a track that's open two nights a week. The plan works with what you actually have.

How it works

  1. Add your races

Mark each one A, B or C. A races get a full peak and taper. B and C races are trained through, so a busy calendar doesn't leave you peaking all season.

  2. Set up your week

Choose how many days you train and which ones, which days you can ride a track, what equipment you have, and any movements you'd rather avoid.

  3. Train the plan

Open today's session and follow it set by set. Add a race or change your setup and the plan rebuilds around it.

Everything between now and race day, planned

Your whole season, periodized

Racepeak works backward from each target race to set your phases: Base for strength and aerobic fitness, Build for power and speed, Peak for race-specific sharpness, and a Taper so you arrive fresh.

  • Maintenance between races keeps you sharp through a long season.
  • Easy days after every race, longer after a big one.
  • Browse race series to add events to your calendar quickly.

A schedule that fits your week

Sessions only land on days you can train. Gate starts, sprints and skills go on the days you can get to a track, and gym and conditioning work fills the rest.

  • Uses only your equipment. Barbell or dumbbells, a home gate, a pump track, hills: it schedules what you can do.
  • Pin what never moves. Tuesday is always gate practice? Pin it, and the week builds around it.
  • Drag sessions to another day when life gets in the way.

Every session, prescribed

Sets, reps, rest and load for every exercise, with a warm-up and a clear read on how hard the session is on your nervous system and your conditioning.

  • Loads from your own numbers. Record your maxes and times, and lifts are prescribed as real weights.
  • Progressive overload in waves. Three weeks building, then a lighter week to absorb it.
  • Tapers the right way. Volume comes down before a race, intensity stays.

Train it set by set

Session mode walks you through the workout one set at a time, with rest timers and coaching cues, so you can leave your phone on the bench and just train.

  • Swap an exercise when the rack is taken, for one that trains the same thing.
  • Log as you go. Every session you finish counts toward your training history.

Built for how racers actually train

Testing days built in

Benchmark sessions are scheduled through the season, and the Progress page charts your maxes and times.

Race simulations

Peak weeks put a moto-day session on one of your track days, so race day isn't the first time you go hard back to back.

Load that ramps gradually

Weekly training load rises in steps, not jumps, and every fourth week of a training block is lighter.

Your intensity

Choose Moderate, Intense or Competitive, and the whole plan scales to match.

Your own workouts

Build custom exercises and workouts alongside the library and plan them in yourself.

Phone, tablet or computer

Racepeak runs in your browser. Plan at your desk, then train from your phone.

Questions

What is Racepeak?

Racepeak is a training app for BMX racers. You enter your race calendar, training days, track access and equipment, and it builds a periodized training plan with every session prescribed: gym strength and power, gate starts, sprints, track skills, conditioning and recovery.

Who is it for?

BMX racers who want structured training, whether you race locally or travel to nationals. You need to be 13 or older to create an account.

How does Racepeak build my plan?

With a rules-based engine, not AI. It is built on published sport-science research into sprint, strength and power training and tuned by hand for BMX racing.

Do I need track access?

No. Track sessions only go on the days you say you can ride a track. If you can't get to one often, the plan leans on strength, power, sprint and conditioning work you can do elsewhere.

What equipment do I need?

Whatever you have. Tell Racepeak what you can use, from a full gym to a few dumbbells, and it only schedules sessions you can do. You can also mark lifts you'd rather avoid, such as Olympic lifts or heavy barbell work, and it builds from simpler alternatives.

How much does it cost?

Racepeak is free to use for your race calendar, the workout library, planning your own sessions and logging workouts. Racepeak Pro, which builds and maintains the plan for you, is $20 a month and you can cancel anytime.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. Racepeak runs in the browser on phones, tablets and computers, with nothing to install.
